Who are we?

The Farmville Area Swim Teams are a co-recreational swimming league for ages 5-18 serving Farmville, Virginia and surrounding counties. FAST is a collaboration between Fuqua School, Hampden Sydney College, and the Southside Virginia Family YMCA. As a summer recreational league, FAST focuses on sportsmanship, developing swimming proficiency, fitness, and having fun.

What does it cost?

There is a one time initial fee of $25 to register. We also charge an instruction fee of $25 per week for each swimmer. You can select which weeks you wish to register for. Checks should be made out to the swimmer's team (either Fuqua, Hampden Sydney, or the YMCA). Payment by credit/debit card is also available at each site.

Where do we meet?

We have three different swim team programs. They meet at Fuqua School, the Hampden Sydney College Recreation Center, and the Southside Virginia Family YMCA.

When is the season?

The season begins on June 5th with an information session and free swimming workshop at the Southside Virginia Family YMCA. Practices start on June 13th. We meet Monday through Friday and registration is available for up to five weeks of the season.

How do I register?

To register, simply print out the registration form on this website, complete it, sign it, and bring it to the free swim clinic on June 5th.
